Gliding and Soaring is a life long learning activity. These pages are designed to help you continue these activities.

Master Instructor Cross-Country Program

The Master Instructor Cross-Country Program, a part of the Master Instructor Program, was instituted in response to member demands for better access to cross country instruction. The primary purpose of this program is to generate a supply of :

  1. Available Instructors with the knowledge and skills to give cross-country instruction and;
  2. Organizations willing to offer cross-country camps where pilots can obtain the knowledge and skills needed to go cross-country with reasonable expectation of safety and success.

Qualification Courses - These courses provide the Soaring flight instructor with the hands-on practice needed to effectively teach cross-country soaring techniques to beginning pilots. These courses are setup and run on an as needed basis.

The requirements for becoming a Master Cross-Country Instructor are listed in the Program guide. The program courseware consists of a Program Guide, Instructor Supplement and Cross-Country Handbook for Students. Download all DOC or PDF files below:
