Flight Maneuver Video Clips
This page provides pilots and instructors with examples of properly flown flight
maneuvers. Each video clip contains a Condor simulation of a specific flight maneuver.
Pilots should discuss each maneuver with an instructor to detemine how the pilot moved the
flight controls to accomplish this maneuver. Instructors should also be prepared to
discuss potential errors that students/pilots make when performing the maneuver. The
Instructor Guide provides instructors with talking points and more details
about each clip.
- The Cross-Wind Landing
- The pilot is landing in a strong cross-wind from the left. The pilot must
correct for the increased ground speed on base leg, start the turn from base to
final at the proper time, and control the gliders ground track to ensure a safe
landing at the predetermined touchdown point.
